Revolving Doors > December 2024

Hard to believe that it is the final Revolving Doors for 2024! Kunal Gupta & Dave Goldbach, reveal the latest appointments, resignations and CFO Market update!

As we alluded to last month, it felt like there were some green shoots in the market just appearing. Having now gone through November, we can confirm that the market has heated up compared to where we’ve been in 2024. The number of movements, job postings and activity increased across the board in November from the senior/executive level down to the more junior level. It’s an encouraging sign in the lead up to Christmas and hopefully the momentum carries into the New Year after the inevitable slow down for the summer and Christmas break.

With silly season upon us, we hope everyone has a productive push until the end of the year and wish you an early happy and healthy holiday season and a Happy New Year!

CFO movements: As always there have been some notable CFO movements this month, the following are some key ones:

ASX Moves IN <

Latitude Group Holdings, specialising in personal loans and credit, has appointed Stefano Tognon as interim CFO as they continue their permanent search. Stefano’s role will be effective from 1 January 2025. Stefano comes with a wealth of knowledge from his 15 years at JP Morgan and was a great internal choice to step-up into the interim role.

Bubs Australia, producers of goat and cow-based products, has appointed Naomi Verloop as CFO commencing 10 February 2025. Naomi has extensive experience in manufacturing and agribusinesses, both in Australia and internationally. In the interim, Aalyiah Nyathi, current FC, will step up into the interim CFO role until Naomi starts.

Wotso, provider of flexible office spaces, has appointed Chris Williams as CFO effective from 1 November. In another encouraging sign for internal appointments, Chris has been appointed to CFO having previously proven himself as Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance at Wotso.

Meteoric Resources, Perth based rare earths exploration, has followed the trend of appointing from within in an exciting double promotion from Finance. Stuart Gale has been promoted from CFO to CEO/MD, whilst Andy Thomson has been promoted from GM Commercial to CFO. We love to see these appointments, congrats to both!

CFO Moves Out >

Enviro Suite, environmental intelligence technology, has announced that Justin Owen has resigned, effective 15 November. After completing the major HCM deal, Justin rightfully has decided to take some time with his family before his next opportunity.

Magellan Financial Group has announced the resignation of Kirsten Morton as CFO and COO. Kirsten has had a long and illustrious career at Magellan since June 2013 with the time right to find her next opportunity. Kirsten will remain with Magellan until the end of the year.

Interesting Moves Outside the ASX ><

FibreconX, provider of fibre networks to data centres, has appointed Tino Tanfara as its new CFO. Tino comes with a wealth of experience at ING RE, Investa, Quattro RE and most recently at Indara and is a great hire!

St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney has appointed Larry Morrisey as CFO in November. Larry was most recently CFO at Genesis Care after a long and impressive career at Qantas. We wish Larry best of luck at St Vincents!

Virtus Health, backed by PE firm BGH Capital, appointed David Mahoney as CFO in September of this year. David had previously led Only About Children through an impressive PE lifecycle following enviable careers at Stockland, Qantas and Rank Group. We’re already hearing great things about David!

Last but definitely not least, Prostar Capital, sustainable investor in energy infrastructure, has appointed Matt Lancaster as CFO in October. Matt has had a very impressive career in the infrastructure/asset management space at Macquarie Asset Management, Brookfield and PwC, culminating with this impressive appointment! All the best Matt!
