AgTech Leader Appoint Chair & CFO to Drive Business US Expansion and Growth
Leading Australian ag-tech firm, The Yield announced recently two ‘rock star’ appointments to help drive next phase of business expansion and growth.
One time CFO and technology veteran, Tim Ebbeck was this week appointed as its new independent chair. Tim has extensive board, executive and advisory experience. He was formerly ANZ CEO at SAP and Oracle and Chief Commercial Officer at NBN Co. He held CFO roles at a number of multinational technology companies and board positions with ReadyTech (ASX.RDY), Tymlez (ASX.TYM), CPA Australia and Nextgen Distribution. With his impressive digital and technology pedigree, Tim has over a decade of board level experience across global IT, education, media, public sector, services and finance industries.
Concurrently, The Yield also recently appointed Patrick Maguire as Chief Financial Officer, who will play a key role in the company’s expansion plans for the US.
Patrick is an experienced Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary with a global career gained in both public and private businesses. He has led all aspects of the finance function as well as leading strategy development and risk management in order to deliver business growth.
Before joining The Yield, Patrick was CFO of QSR International supporting the software company through a successful sale process to a US-based Private Equity firm. He then spent the last two years in the US supporting the subsequent business transition. Prior to this, Patrick held a number of executive positions in Food, Telecoms, Financial Services and FMCG with businesses such as Digicel, Euronet Worldwide, Hallmark Cards, PZ Cussons and Coca-Cola HBC. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (A.C.M.A.) and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree.

New CFO Patrick Maguire said, “I am excited to be joining The Yield at this important time in its development and I look forward to working with the Board and Executive team in accelerating the Company’s growth strategy.” Maguire will report directly to Founder and Managing Director, Ros Harvey.
