Finance community’s outstanding contributions recognised in inaugural Australian CFO Awards
Australia, 30 November 2022 – The top finance leaders in the country were honoured at Weel’s inaugural 2022 Australian CFO Awards ceremony in Sydney’s Circular Quay on Wednesday, 30 November.
Open to all senior finance professionals and teams in both the private and public sectors, the evening saw leaders and fast-rising stars from Aurecon Group, GenWest, Pet Circle and Stake recognised for their recent and ongoing achievements.
Alena Bennett, CFO leadership expert and Australian CFO Awards panellist, said: “It is a tremendous honour that we announce the inaugural winners of the Australian CFO Awards. These awards recognise the profound value created by finance leaders at their best and their outstanding contributions to their people, businesses and communities. As the very first recipients of these annual awards, they set a shining example for those who will follow them.”
Spend management software company Weel (Previously DiviPay) established the first awards program of its kind to honour the quiet but important work finance professionals do across all businesses in Australia.
The awards were supported by industry bodies CFO Magazine and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, accounting and advisory firms National Audits Group, Prime Partners, My Accounts, Mackay Goodwin, CFO leadership expert and mentor Alena Bennett, and technology firms GoCardless, Eftsure, Fathom, ezyCollect, Finance in Tech and Think & Grow.
