Christopher Healey Appointed CFO, Microsoft A/NZ

A homecoming for the finance leader, who takes the top A/NZ finance seat as AI reshapes the region’s productivity agenda

Microsoft has appointed Christopher Healey as Chief Financial Officer for Australia and New Zealand, marking a return home after nine years with the company across Sydney and Redmond.

Healey steps in at a defining moment for the sector. AI is rapidly changing how organisations operate, make decisions and serve customers, and he sees the technology as a lever for more than efficiency: lifting productivity, strengthening global competitiveness, and widening economic opportunity across both markets.

“It’s a privilege to return home and take on this role at such an important time for our industry,” he said, framing the appointment as a chance to translate the potential of technology into sustainable growth and real business outcomes. His focus, he says, is on the teams, customers and partners who make that translation happen, learning from the challenges and opportunities they see on the ground.

A chartered accountant by training, Healey built his commercial finance career at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, leading finance transformation and commercial initiatives across Australia and Europe. It’s an operator’s grounding in one of the region’s best-known consumer businesses, and a perspective he now brings to the top A/NZ finance seat at Microsoft.
