InDebted appoints Brendan Lee as CFO

Brendan Lee moves from investment banking into the CFO role at InDebted as the Australian-founded collections technology company reports 42% annual revenue growth.

InDebted has appointed Brendan Lee as Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 October 2026, bringing an experienced technology adviser into its executive team as the business expands globally.

Lee joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was most recently Managing Director and Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications for Australia and New Zealand. His career has included roles at Goldman Sachs, Macquarie Group and McKinsey & Company, with experience advising some of the region’s largest technology companies on growth and capital markets strategy.

The appointment marks a move from advising businesses to helping lead one, with Lee joining the AI-native collections company following its strongest revenue year to date.

“I’ve admired InDebted’s progress for years and share Josh’s vision for where the business could go,” Lee said.

“Taking on an operating role after a career in investment banking is a big shift, but the opportunity to help build a category-defining world class business out of Australia, with genuinely global reach, is one I couldn’t pass up.”

InDebted reported group revenue growth of 42% year-on-year and now operates across six regions. Its four core products, Collect, Receive, Release and Comply, span the collections lifecycle.

Lee’s background in technology, growth and capital markets adds financial expertise to the executive team at this stage of the company’s development.

His appointment coincides with that of Chris McNamara as Chief Executive Officer, also effective 1 October. McNamara joins from Advanced Navigation, where he was Chief Revenue Officer, having previously held Chief Revenue Officer roles at Remote and Glassdoor.

The CEO appointment concludes a search launched in April, when InDebted founder Josh Foreman moved into a dedicated Founder and Executive Director role.

“Chris and Brendan are exactly the calibre of operators I’d hoped we’d find,” Foreman said.

“Bringing them on is a genuine reflection of how far this business has come, and I’m confident they’re the right team to lead it into its next chapter.”
