Ring the Bell – ASX Limited appoints new CFO

The ASX Limited (ASX) has announced that Andrew Tobin has been appointed its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr Tobin will start in the role on Monday, 5 September 2022.

Tobin was previously CFO at Challenger Limited for nine years (2012-2021) and was responsible for numerous operational areas including finance, investor relations, treasury, operations, and information technology. He was Deputy CFO prior to that and has also worked at CBA, MLC and KPMG.

Helen Lofthouse, formerly the Group Executive Markets, ASX’s largest business by revenue was recently promoted to Managing Director and CEO at the ASX Limited, said: “Andrew is an accomplished CFO and executive leader with more than 30 years’ experience in various group finance and audit roles in Australia and Asia. He is an excellent addition to our team.

“His ability to think strategically and commercially, his partnership approach, and extensive expertise in financial markets and listed companies will add depth to the Executive Team and enhance our leadership culture.”

Tobin’s appointment follows an extensive selection process, supported by global recruitment agency Egon Zehnder. He replaces Gillian Larkins who leaves ASX at the end of August. ASX’s strategy function will move to the CFO portfolio under Mr Tobin’s leadership.
