Architectus appoint Belinda Giles as CFO

Architectus, the award-winning Australian architecture and design studio, whose projects include State Library Victoria Vision 2020 Redevelopment, Canberra Metro Stage 1, Sunshine Coast University Hospital and 1 Bligh Street, Sydney have announced the appointment of their incoming Chief Financial Officer and Principal, Belinda Giles to its national leadership team, a key appointment in the evolution of the architecture and design practice.

A Chartered Accountant with an international career in Finance, Belinda brings extensive experience in partner owned businesses, establishing the systems and processes that keep them flourishing.

Upon news of the announcement, new CFO, Belinda Giles said:

“As a practice, Architectus has been on the rise for years thanks to the team’s vision and dedication from the start. I’m looking forward to playing a part in the next, exciting phase of the business.”

Most recently, Belinda was CFO of Brennan IT, playing a key role in fulfilling the company’s growth agenda. In her four years there, she developed the Finance team’s capabilities and systems along with their capacity to add commercial and strategic value to the business.

Belinda also held senior positions with Parsons Brinckerhoff, later acquired by WSP. In addition to the integration expertise she gained in that phase of her career, she has significant experience in tax, valuations and systems across both employee owned and private companies. Belinda’s career has taken her from Cape Town to London to Sydney, where she will now be based with Architectus, leading both Finance and IT for the practice.
