Revolving Doors – June 2024
In a tricky job market, recruitment difficulty remains high. According to the JSA Recruitment Experiences and Outlook Survey, the recruitment difficulty rate has increased by 3 percentage points over the month, with the statistic most pronounced in non-capital regions of the country.
Negotiating a job offer. New research published in Organizational Behaviour and Human Decision Processes, indicates that negotiating is unlikely to ultimately jeopardise a job offer. Be brave to think outside of the box when negotiating, it’s not always about the money. For example, you might value flexible working or some time off before starting for which you are willing to compromise a bit on terms. Be clear, professional, and mature to determine a win-win outcome for both parties and start that new role with a smile.
It’s the time for CFO’s to shine. In compressed market conditions, there is no better time for CFOs to manage cashflow and their key metrics astutely. Resilience and the ability to weather the storm, so to speak, are key attributes that many companies seek in their current and future leaders.
