MediaWorks appoints Skye Daniels as Chief Financial Officer

MediaWorks have appointed Skye Daniels as Chief Financial Officer following an executive search conducted by SEQEL Partners. Skye Daniels is currently General Manager Finance at Air New Zealand, reporting to Chief Financial Officer, Richard Thomson. During her five years with the Airline she has held a number of previous roles including Head of Finance, Digital/Corporate and Senior Manager Financial Control. As General Manager Finance Skye leads a team of circa 50 staff (80+ pre Covid) who deliver business partnering, financial planning and reporting services to the Airline. Prior to Air New Zealand she held a variety of roles including being a Director at PwC, Group Financial Controller at the University of Auckland and Group Accountant at Mitre 10. Skye is a Chartered Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics and a Diploma of Commerce and Accounting, both at the University of Otago.

MediaWorks recently enlisted fellow Air New Zealand veterans, Cam Wallace as CEO and Jeff McDowell who joined MediaWorks as Chief Operating Officer in May 2021. Jeff joined MediaWorks after a career at Air New Zealand spanning more than two decades in senior roles including Chief Financial Officer, Group General Manager – Corporate Finance and Group General Manager – Commercial. He has also previously held roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New Zealand, Singapore and the US and also spent time with Mobil Oil in New Zealand and London.
