A/NZ CFO Summit Returns!

Finance Teams of 2030: ABC News’ Alan Kohler, Microsoft MVP David Fortin, and UTS Professor Prabhu Sivabalan to Headline A/NZ’s Largest Free CFO Summit.

Presented by Weel, proudly supported by Eftsure and Fathom, and delivered in partnership with CFO Magazine A/NZ.

On Tuesday, 3 March 2026, ABC News veteran Alan Kohler AM, Microsoft Copilot MVP David Fortin, and Professor Prabhu Sivabalan headline the 2026 ANZ CFO Summit: a free virtual event bringing together nearly 2,000 finance leaders across Australia and New Zealand to confront what the profession demands by 2030.

The Summit tackles the defining challenge of Finance toward 2030 and what’s keeping CFOs up at night: as AI reshapes productivity, fraud evolves faster than controls can keep up, and boards demand faster decisions with tighter governance – can your finance function keep pace?

World-Class Speakers Addressing What Matters Now

The Summit features three standout sessions from leading voices in finance, technology, and economics:

Alan Kohler AM, ABC News Finance Presenter, will explore the economic impact of AI and rapid technological change. Drawing on decades of experience analysing disruption, Kohler will separate hype from reality, explaining where technology investment delivers real returns and how policy, labour markets, and capital allocation are reshaping margins, wages, and long-term resilience.

Professor Prabhu Sivabalan, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Enterprise Learning at UTS, will present new research on measuring AI ROI. For the first time in Australia, Professor Sivabalan will unveil a preliminary multi-dimensional framework developed with experts from LSE and Oxford’s Saïd Business School that captures the full organisational impact of AI investments, beyond traditional NPV models.

David Fortin, CPA and Microsoft MVP, will deliver a high-energy, practical session on how CFOs and finance teams are using Microsoft Copilot to save time right now. Attendees will see live demonstrations of AI-powered financial analysis, automated Excel workflows, and planning tools that can be implemented immediately.

The Summit also features sessions from:

  • Niek Dekker, VP Marketing at Eftsure, on how AI is redrawing the fraud landscape – and what finance teams need to do to stay ahead of fast-moving payment risk.
  • Daniel Kniaz, CEO & Founder of Weel, on why this megatrend of agentic work is coming for your finance function – and what to do to lead this change before it’s too late.
  • Stian Horne, Sales Manager at Fathom, on why static forecasts are failing in uncertain times – and how leading CFOs are using scenario thinking to make faster, better decisions.

The 2026 ANZ CFO Summit offers finance leaders the tools to close the gap between where their function is today and what Finance will demand in 2030. Designed for both experienced CFOs and emerging leaders, attendees will leave with practical AI implementation frameworks and strategies with 2030 in view.

Attendees will earn 6 CPD points for attending the full day.
